There is so much hype about AI now. And yet, we all know that AI is going to have a significant impact on all of us over the coming years.
That’s why we created a simple 9-point plan for creating an AI strategy for your business.
Point 1 -Start with the business goals
Don’t dive into AI just because of the hype
Think about what problems need solving first — like cutting down customer wait times, automating boring tasks, or predicting trends.
Point 2 – Check what you’ve got
Look at your current setup. Do you have the tech, data, or team to make this work?
If not, figure out what you’re missing before throwing money at AI
Point 3 – Get your data in shape
AI’s only as good as the data you give it. So, make sure you’ve got clean, usable data and a plan for keeping it that way. No shortcuts here!
Point 4 – Pick your battles
Don’t try to solve everything at once
Identify specific, high-value areas where AI can really make a difference
Start small, see some results, and build from there.
Point 5 – Build a mixed team
You’ll need a mix of skills, not just techies.. Bring in people who understand the day-to-day business, so you’re solving real problems — not just building fancy tools.
Point 6 – Decide on partners or DIY
You don’t need to build AI from scratch. Look at external partners and vendors if it makes sense. Make sure their solutions fit what you need and can grow with you.
Point 7 – Think about ethics
AI has its fair share of ethical issues—bias, data privacy, etc.
Be transparent about how you’re using it and stay on top of the legal stuff
Trust is key!
Point 8 – Prepare your employees
AI will change the way people work, so make sure they’re on board
Offer training and show them how AI can help, not replace them.
Point 9 – Keep Improving
AI isn’t a one-off. Track how it’s performing, gather feedback, and keep enhancing and improving. You’ll learn a lot as you go.
