On September 25th 2021 over 20 members of the embracent team will be walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks to try and raise over £2500 for Ashgate Hospicecare, the charity providing compassionate and specialist palliative and end of life care, free of charge, to patients with a life-limiting illness and their families across North Derbyshire.

Whilst walking almost 25 miles, over 3 mountains and across 5200ft of ascent, may be hard work – it does not compare to the incredible effort, compassion, care and attention that Ashgate gives to all of their patients, every day of the week.”
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. With less than 3 months to go, the embracent team have been busy getting their hiking boots on training and virtually supporting one another to conquer the challenge!
